The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following:

1. Extending the additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development assigned to Shri Jitendra Shankar Mathur, lAS (MP:1982), Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj for a period of three months beyond 24.05.2016 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent to that post or till further orders, whichever is the earliest.

2. Appointment of Smt. Shobhana Joshi, IDAS(1979), Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) as Secretary (Defence Finance) with effect from 01.06.2016 vice Shri S.S. Mohanty, IDAS (1979), Financial Adviser (Defence Services) on his retirement on 31.05.2016.

3. Assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises to Shri Ameising Luikham, lAS (AM:1981), Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises for the period from 25.05.2016 to 31.05.2016 during the absence on leave of Shri Girish Shankar, IAS (BH:1982).

4. Assignment of additional charge of the post of Chief Executive Officer, Polavaram Project Authority to Dr. Amarjit Singh, IAS (GJ:1982), Special Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation for a further period of six months with effect from 20.4.2016 or till appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or till further orders, whichever is the earliest.
