B.B.K. Rao's grandfather was a doctor with royal indian army and was awarded title of Rao Sahib his name was Rao sahib Padala moolah pathrudu, B.B.K Rao's father followed the tradition and became a govt doctor at visakhapatnam his name was Bondada kondala rao they were 6 brothers in all out of which 3 joined armed forces eldest was a JCo his name was B. Venkateswar rao wo was a havildar with army was dicharged on medical grounds during WW 1, BBK Rao's 4th brother joined army and retired with rank of Lt col his name was Bondada Suryanaryana murti and BBK Rao was 5th in siblings and 3rd in family who joined defence services at air force, he was intrested in airforce from very begining he got into airforce during his college days and was trained at madras, and his passing parade was at madras. Post his death dfc was awarded to his family on 15th aug 1947 at arkonam madras and it followed a cash reward of 5000 rs from govt. |
