Squadron Leader Hanwant Bir Singh has been in transport squadrons since his commissioning in January 1956. He has been engaged in our air maintenan tasks over NEFA, Naga Hills, J&K and Ladakh and has amassed a total service flying of over 6,000 hours. Out of this, he has flown approximatly 3,000 hours on operational sorties. Squadron Hanwant Bir Singh is a disciplined, dedicated competent pilot. He has displayed courage and skill in his flying and is always willing to undertake any task given to him. With his zeal and great aptitude flying he has acquired singularly great

proficiency various types of transport aircraft.

Throughout, Squadron Leader Hanwant Bir Singh has displayed courage, devotion to duty and professional skill of a high order.
